The diffrence beetwen Skimming and Scanning

               Speed reading is a technique used to improve one's ability to read quickly. speed reading methods include chunking and eliminating subvocalization. the many available speed reading training programs include books, videos, software and seminars. speed reading divided into two technique :

    - Skimming
            Skimming is used to quickly identify the main ideas of the text. when you read the newspaper, you            probably not reading it word by word instead you're scanning the text. people used to skim when they have    a lot material to read in limited amount of time.

   - Scanning
            Scanning is a technique you often used when looking up a word in telephone book or dictionary, you searchfor key words of ideas. in most cases you know what you're looking for, so you're cocentrating on finding a particular answer. scanning is also involves moving your eyes quickly down the page seeking words and phrases
